RésuméLa proportion de femmes dans la population migrante turque totale ne cesse d’augmenter depuis les années soixante. L’observation des comportements de ces migrantes dans les pays hôtes ouest-européens aboutit à l’analyse de changements significatifs dans la perception et l’action des femmes en situation migratoire. Nous tentons ici de souligner les processus de socialisation des migrantes de Turquie, en montrant les continuités et les ruptures avec les rapports sociaux de sexe et les modes de mobilisation de ces femmes dans la société turque. Nous nous demandons dans quelle mesure l’insertion socio-économique dans le pays de résidence et l’évolution des relations hommes/femmes interagissent. Nous verrons ainsi de quelle façon l’impact de la migration sur les femmes (mères et filles) influe sur leurs statuts social et familial, sur leurs rôles, leurs perceptions et leurs valeurs.

Migration and changes in family relations. The case of women from TurkeyThe proportion of women in the Turkish migrant population has been growing steadily since the 1960s. Study of the behaviour of these migrant women in the different European host countries leads to an analysis of significant changes in the perception and action of women in a migratory situation. The aim here is to underscore the processes of socialisation of migrant women from Turkey by showing the continuity and the break with gender relations and the forms of involvement of these women in Turkish society. The question is posed of the extent to which their socio-economic insertion in the country where they are resident interacts with the evolution of relations between women and men. This demonstrates the way in which the effects of migration on these women (mothers and daughters) influences their social and family status, their roles, their perceptions and their values.
