Starting from Croce’s “minor” text, A Theory of the Macchia, we can reconsider his entire aesthetic system in the light of a central aporia. This aporia undermines the supposed solidarity of intuition-expression and thus opens the door to the creation of an aesthetic thought of creation developed by the philosopher Luigi Pareyson, author of a Theory of Formativity.
