In response to the economic, social, and environmental crises we are facing, now more than ever is the time to change our consumption habits and to work together to move toward more resilient and sustainable systems. Through its values and organizational forms that put people and the environment at the heart of collective projects, the social and solidarity economy offers a way forward in order to co-construct a new common story at the local level and a new social contract at the national level. This article aims to present, in non-exhaustive fashion, the different forms of cooperation in the SSE, as well as their positive impacts on the local level. To this end, the development of this article is organized around three thematic areas of work supported by the Labo de l’ESS: Pôles Territoriaux de Coopération Economique (Territorial Clusters for Economic Cooperation), the Transition Energétique Citoyenne (Citizens’ Energy Transition), and Agriculture et Alimentation Durables (Sustainable Food and Agriculture).
