Flow cytometry in chronic lymphoproliferative disorders: Report of a survey on practices on behalf of CytHem

Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2023. Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : Nowadays, flow cytometric immunophenotyping is an essential tool for diagnosis, classification, and monitoring of chronic lymphoproliferative disorders (CLPDs). Several recommendations on multicolor panels have been proposed in the literature but little is known about their application in routine laboratories. The CytHem group (Cytométrie Hématologique francophone), created in 2018, is organized into multiple themed groups, among which is one dedicated to CLPDs, “Cythem-SLP”. The first objective of Cythem-SLP was to conduct an investigation on current practices about flow cytometry and CLPDs among its members. The responses of 40 centers have been collected and investigated. Only a few of them directly apply panel proposals from the literature. Nevertheless, this investigation highlights some antibodies that are necessary for CLPD diagnosis according to the experience of the centers. Finally, members of the CytHem-SLP group are still demanding harmonization panel proposals and interlaboratory controls.
