Editorial. Europes: Twenty years after the TCE

In 2005, the debate around the Treaty Establishing a Constitution for Europe (TCE), commonly known as the European Constitution or the Constitutional Treaty, sparked an unprecedented wave of popular and intellectual mobilization in France. Twenty years have passed since the “no” vote in that referendum. This is an opportunity for Mouvements to take stock of the current situation. Where do we stand today with the neoliberal construction of the European Union? Is the European social movement having an impact? And, at a time when the far right is stronger than ever, what are the European Lefts’ plans and strategies?
