Violence is inherent to partying especially to the extent that it sets one free from the norms of dominant society. The violence phenomena in urban party spaces that young people use tends to disappear and, when occurring, it does not anymore constitute a ritual of reversal of social codes. Partying is an integral part of consumer society and job market values with logics of competition, through the enacting of discrimination, segregation and exclusion from party establishments.
