During the last two presidential campaigns (2002 and 2007), young people’s voice held an important place in the media coverage of youth magazines. This study is a comparative analysis of the arguments developed in the newspapers and magazines L’Actu, Les Clés de l’actualité, Les Dossiers de l’actualité et Phosphore. It proposes to take a close look at the rhetorical dimension of these political discourses which play a role not only in the unfolding of the democratic debate but also in the production of representations of youth.
