This paper questions the ways in which young people from the Labour Party inscribe themselves within politics by examining their modes of entry into activism and their commitment trajectories. This is about reflecting on the relationship to politics of these young people who took the step of partisan enrolment through their activist careers. A close look at the young people of the Brasilia Labour Party (Brazil) shows that the thesis of a decline in young people’s political commitment cannot be validated with regards to this partisan phenomenon. The confrontation between two generations of activists nevertheless shows a diversification of current petistas careers.
