History of international relations, global history, and Catholic representations: The case of G. K. Chesterton
Type de matériel :
66
Throughout his life, his political writings, and his literary works, Gilbert K. Chesterton (1874–1936) acts as a witness to the globalization of the British catholic conscience between the Boer Wars at the end of the nineteenth century and the Second Italo-Ethiopian War of 1935–1936. His novels ( The Napoleon of Notting Hill, The Ball and the Cross, The Man Who Was Thursday) and his short stories (the famous Father Brown series) mirror his political involvements against imperialism and nationalism, and for a global perception of the issues at stake.
