This containing and ritualized tool is well suited to children with autistic disorders, and to institutions and teams seeking to develop their care offering toward more integrated treatments. It is currently being assessed through a randomized controlled intervention research study. This article focuses on the institutional challenges associated with a PRÉAUT “atelier-classe” in a children’s day hospital and studies the development over a year of one of the children who took part in this process.
