Infant and dyadic assessment in early community-based screening for autism spectrum disorder with the PRÉAUT grid

Par : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2018. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : This article presents, in a summarized but faithful manner, the recent publication in English of the results of the PRÉAUT study published in December 2017 in the journal plos one. Given the need for early treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders and in particular Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), screening as early as possible is necessary. However, very few screening tools have been prospectively tested on babies before 12 months of age.The results of this study show that 50% of infants who were positive at one of the screening tests were subsequently diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disease. PRÉAUT grid scores, based on an interactive assessment of emotional engagement, are significantly associated with medium and high chat risk items at 24 months and the study results showed that repeated use of screening instruments improves the very early detection of ASDs and other neurodevelopmental disorders. The PRÉAUT sign had already shown, in 2013, an excellent ability to predict the progression to ASD in high-risk babies (with West syndrome).
