This analysis of the book Sexe, race & colonies. La domination des corps du XVe siècle à nos jours examines its methods of argumentation and its lacks. In particular, it criticizes the use made by the authors of the notion of “deconstruction”—reduced to a mere profession of faith, without any real analysis of images and imaginaries. In contrast, it calls for a true consideration of the perspective of the colonized, in order to go beyond ethnocentrism and stereotype reproduction.
