The aim of this article is to offer a reflexive account of a psychoanalytically oriented clinical experiment, carried out as a psychologist within the framework of an academic success program. Social and political challenges linked to the program’s blueprint are subject to reflection, as are present-day malaise and its effects on individual subjectivity. The methodological and epistemological aspects of psycho-therapeutic treatment in this context are put into perspective in light of the difficulties presented by children or teenagers. The treatment of Zoé, a twelve-year-old adolescent girl, shows the significance of diversifying language and enunciation and, hence, processes of symbolization.
