Since several decades, some authors after J. McDougall have been interested in a specific and contemporary clinical symptomatology called “addictive sexuality”. Within this clinical configuration where the repetitive compulsion is master, the subject, rather than risking feeling affects that challenge the narcissistic integrity already weakened, searches for physical sensations. Which object hides beneath the succession of anonymous bodies ? How do the numerous resources of psychosexuality get reduced to the simplest expression of discharge ? Which links can be operated between dependant sexualities and borderline functioning ? Through theoretical and clinical considerations, this article brings certain answers to these questions.
