Victimologic Temporality and Childhood Figures

One of the approaches in the legal clinical psychopathology of post-traumatic stress following sexual assault tends to give all importance to childhood figures. Rape, under the guise of the instinct for mastery, reveals its cannibalistic, excremental, and sacrificial aspects. By undoing the processes of “Oedipified” connections and the primary psychic envelopes, rape tends “to seize” the subject’s bond to temporality. Because of the collapse, this motionless time is no longer the basic matrix for memory traces and the original background for psychic processes. Victimology is the clinical analysis of the excess of object and it exposes what sex has in common with death: the enigma of the origins and the abject as archaic figure of any subject.
