From victim to perpetrator: The impact of emotional deprivation and early sexual traumas on emotional and sexual development

Par : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2018. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : Based on the multidisciplinary experience of an SOS Enfants team, this article offers a reflection on the therapeutic management of child victims of sexual abuse when they, in turn, become perpetrators of transgressions in the register of sexuality. From M. Ainsworth’s theories of attachment and S. Ferenczi’s concepts on trauma and the confusion of languages, we describe a clinical vignette leading to a proposal for a specific therapeutic work. Navigating between attachment and trauma theories, affective and sexual development, individual and intergenerational perspectives, we share the current clinical reflections of our daily practice.
