Psychoanalysts and Silence

Arising in paradigmatical spaces of exclusion, madness, and death, the analysis of professional praxis is an in-between setting, leading us to rethink the structuring of private and institutional settings. Often purposed by psychoanalysts, this praxis remains discreet and rather untheorized. Our guideline will be specular feedback of psychoanalysts’individual silence about that praxis and the silence of institutions. We shall see that the displacement of the psychoanalytical referential towards groups belonging to institutions of the social field damages the relationship between us and our psychoanalytical “job.” The price of it is a questioning silence. That setting, as a precious observatory of institutional praxes reveals a frightening kind of melancholic process of the social link. We assert that the fear of meeting identical processes working within psychoanalytical institutions tends to keep these borderline praxes “unthought.”
