This paper looks at the forms and procedures of the shared processes of documenting, writing, and mediatizing memory in collaboration between scientific and local communities, in the context of local heritage gathering processes. Drawing on interviews and document analysis, this paper sheds light on the process of collecting local testimonies, constructing knowledge about heritage-making, and producing documentary media. The paper questions the subsequent epistemological, symbolic, and technical shifts at stake in terms of knowledge circulation within the social group involved.
