Aggressiveness and Pregnancy: Toward the Development of Mother-Child Relations

Par : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2001. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : Using Rorschach and TAT tests, this is a study of psychological changes in women during pregnancy. The results show on one hand, the struggle for self-control against the development of aggressive behaviour; and on the other hand, the progressive acceptance of the depression wich may follow a decline in self-image. This research confirms that psychological processes exist wich protect the woman against developing feelings of aggression toward the fœtus. Hence in order to ensure the development of a satisfactory mother-baby relationship, it is essential to be able to assist women who have difficulties in accepting these psychological processes.
