Accelerating the circular transition of the building industry in Quebec

That’s why the Quebec government and the Desjardins group have allocated substantial funding to the Centre for Intersectoral Studies and Research on the Circular Economy (CERIEC) to create the Lab construction, a research and experimentation facility designed to explore, with all stakeholders, how to integrate the circular economy into the building industry. CERIEC has brought together more than 300 building industry players and researchers from a range of disciplines in workshops. It has co-created and financed 19 projects, each of which illustrates the potential and feasibility of circular practices in the building industry.
