The power of Nutri-Score: What are the consequences on the perceived value of products with complex nutritional properties?

Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2024. Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : This article examines the impact of the Nutri-Score on consumer perception of products with complex properties. An experimental study was conducted with 260 respondents who were presented with two fictional packages featuring either a Nutri-Score A or E. The results show that the Nutri-Score A enhances perceived quality but does not affect perceived risk, thereby mediating the influence of the Nutri-Score on the product’s perceived value and consumers’ purchase intentions. The perceived harmfulness of the product appears to play a moderating role in these relationships. These findings highlight the importance for brands to consider the growing significance of the Nutri-Score in consumer product evaluation.
