A New Means for Assessing Family Functioning: The Picnic Game
Type de matériel :
89
This paper presents a new means of assessing family functioning called the “Picnic Game.” It can be used in families of all sizes with children ranging from a few weeks to 12 years of age. This macro assessment is based on dimensions like co-parenting, family warmth, shared pleasure, children’s autonomy, etc. In order to illustrate what may be observed, three picnic games with contrasting families and their coding are presented here. Lastly, this paper discusses the benefits, in clinical and research work, of viewing films with family members.
