A Metapsychological Approach to Adolescents and Their Families in a Rural Environment
Type de matériel :

From clinical experience in a rural environment, we sought to develop a new metapsychological approach to adolescence in rural environments. The loci for this were the “Lieux-Dits” consultancy centres. These were set up in remote country towns and villages lacking in mental health care structures to provide care and advice for young people and, if need be, their families. The weakening of family links further exacerbated by adolescence factors and social insecurity now tend to preclude the existence of an inner personal space wherein subjectivation can emerge. Acting out becomes a vehicle to mobilise the family or move away from the family psychic apparatus. The creative process of jointly constructing these new spaces in the “Lieux-Dits” takes on its full meaning here, standing in for or sustaining the family structure.
