Certain parents are unable to talk about the violence they experienced and that they need to express in order to maintain an unconscious bond with their own parent. They sometimes try to use their body or that of their own children to express their past suffering as is the case with Münchausen syndrome by proxy. There is confusion between the violence toward the child, or toward the mother or grandmother. An intergenerational study is adequate but difficult due to the paradoxical nature of the mother’s request.
