The author, exercising in the setting of a psychoanalytical family consultation, describes the family situation, where without it being necessary to talk about a specific clinical entity, the children have such great demands that they become authorities and end up using and abusing of an excessive and encroached power on the all of the family. The psychic organisation of the family is disturbed and every day conflicts show that the great ideals proned by the parental narcissism are attacked. However much this may cost them, the parents cannot give up. This questions the role of the latent masochism, the specific modalities of the infantile power evolution, and the construction of the family ideals.
