By drawing on two types of clinic, that of a therapeutic group for institutionalised children and that of interventions in established teams, this text aims to explore new forms of sociality in the institution clinic. The authors attempt to analyse the institutional and clinical effects of modalities of psychic presence that they propose to qualify as “intermittent and discontinuous”. They characterise these modalities by two qualities of presence in particular, which are attention and rhythmic interlinking. Their places and functions in psychic activity are specified with the support of a clinical example. Although they are considered essential to the bond and collective life, they are today particularly affected and disrupted by institutional and social transformations. (Translation done using DeepL)
