Type de matériel :
TexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2025.
Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : During hospitalisation, Muslim patients, most of whom are immigrants from very diverse backgrounds, encounter great difficulties in adapting, with repercussions on their health. My role as a chaplain is, of course, to provide them with spiritual and religious support, but also to bridge the gap between the hospita environment and patients in distress. Being a chaplain also means identifying and trying to understand in depth who the person in front of me is, whether in terms of their culture, their understanding of illness or even the hospital environment - which seems cold and impenetrable to many patients. These links with nursing and hospital staff are necessary and enriching. Thanks to the links created with nursing staff, each situation can be discussed and problems addressed with the necessary perspective so that the patient feels truly supported.
