Obstacles to the shared management of sustainability performance for a value chain. A case study on the pork sector in France

Par : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2021. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : To meet current societal expectations with regard to ecological transition, agrifood chains must be able to account for the sustainability of their activities. This operational research, which examines the information transmission and the data sharing along the chain, addresses the information and knowledge systems on the sustainability of the activities of a pork chain in France. Its main objective is to highlight the current difficulties in implementing, coordinating, and transmitting this information, at a time when greater sharing of mapped and linked data on sustainability would help tackle pressures from civil society. The study reports on the disparity and individualization of information at different stages of the value chain. The current information system therefore does not promote the sharing and the joint management of this data. We suggest potential future avenues concerning the benefits of more knowledge sharing, as well as the tools currently available to achieve this.
