Young people’s information evaluation practices on social media: an info-communicational and multidimensional approach

We argue that the study of young people’s practices of information evaluation on social media needs to take into account communication practices and a multiplicity of factors involved in the information evaluation process. An info-communicational and multidimensional analytical approach allows us to understand the instrumented and situated character of young people’s social media practices and can also offer insight into the links between the individual and collective dimensions of information experience. We also discuss the conceptual and methodological approaches used to analyze these information practices.
