This article presents a methodological contribution on the exploration of sensorimotor dimensions in expert practice of écuyers of the Cadre noir. The reflection is developed within the Course of action research program. It suggests different ways to enrich self-confrontation interviews to video traces of activity. It highlights the fruitfulness of the articulation of different modes of data construction according to an enactive approach to expert practice, in order to explore its embodied dimensions. It also opens up perspectives for the development of dispositions to perceive and to act within complex human-animal interactions.
