In this paper, we break free from a three-pillars perspective on sustainability and instead adopt an inductive approach. One crucial insight that arises from our qualitative study is the importance of multi-actors dynamics within specific territories. Among the crucial drivers, the density of interactions built up by actors emerges as a common denominator of SFSC. This aspect is essential for understanding both the drivers of and the obstacles to the sustainability of SFSC initiatives.
