The role of information-documentation in the study of knowledge circulation in an educational context

This study proposes a framework for the analysis of knowledge circulation in mediatized learning situations. Referring to several previous exploratory studies of the tryptic mediation-mediatization-device, we propose a consolidated approach based on a new empirical study. Results of this study show that knowledge circulation can be apprehended by taking into account the linguistic, technical and symbolic dimensions of mediation. We also highlight the concepts of alteration and appropriation which can be used to qualify knowledge circulation.
