RésuméDeux grosses monographies parues en 2011 sont analysées, portant chacune sur un monument grec peu ou mal connu, quoique important : d’abord, la publication du temple d’Asclépios à Messène, qui a offert à son auteur l’occasion de faire le point sur d’autres édifices de la cité et, plus généralement, sur l’architecture religieuse à l’époque hellénistique ; ensuite, l’étude très complète dont ont bénéficié les fortifications de Thasos, qui comprennent aussi un port « fermé ».

Greek Architecture Chronicle (2011)Two significant monographs, published in 2011, are examined. Both deal with a Greek monument, more or less well-known, and important: first, the publication of Asklepios temple in Messene, which offers its author an opportunity to present a statement on the other buildings of the city, and, further, on sacral architecture in the Hellenistic period; then, a complete study regarding the fortifications of Thasos, which include a “closed” harbor.
