Among these factors, this research aims to explore the link between empathy, pro-social behavior, and BD. Fifty-one boys, aged 7 to 12 years old and their parents participated in the study. The children completed a questionnaire about their ability to empathize. The parents filled out several questionnaires measuring BD, empathy, and pro-social behavior in their children. The results suggest that empathy is an important factor for the healthy psychosocial development of the child. They also highlight the mediation role that pro-social behavior can play on the children’s ability to exhibit empathy or BD.
