Social Anchorage of Remote Assistance for Elderly People: From Speech Acts to Organizational Information
Type de matériel :

This paper addresses the general problem of the social anchorage of information and communication technology (ICT) services. The author presents the example of remote assistance devices for elderly and dependent people at home. The designers and the end users of these systems, the suppliers, and in particular the listening stations (emergency stations, fire brigades) shape patterns of use and help shape a collective picture of their use. This perception is structured differently in accordance with the transformation of work that these service providers find appropriate or not. However, if ICT allows developing new speech acts to involve assistance services, actors should continue to formalize information that has been produced by these speech acts.
