The applications of the law and its evolutions in the face of families’ personal trauma lead us to question the process of dying and its medicalization. The idea of thinking about the continuity of the life-death process is philosophically posited. In our aging society, a divide is forming between palliative care and death procedures, which is altering the relationship with caregivers. The exemplary case of an incurable disease gives rise to the idea of compiling a corpus of advance directives and of running pedagogical workshops from the age of eighteen.
