Ageism and life in French nursing homes

People who live or work in nursing homes are rarely called upon to share their experiences. These assisted living facilities, far from being black boxes, can be defined by their openness and by the lives they preserve and enhance every day thanks to teams of talented, trained professionals. With testimonies from residents and employees of the Jacques Bonvoisin facility, we will show how nursing homes are places of life and care where residents can end their lives in dignity. And we will consider whether these facilities have the power to eradicate ageism toward older adults.
