L’articolo fornisce un’edizione delle annotazioni e delle glosse al Menone e al Fedone tradotti in latino da Enrico Aristippo tra il 1154 e il 1160. Partendo da un processo di categorizzazione delle varie tipologie di annotazioni e glosse, si esaminerà il ruolo di mediazione che le stesse hanno assunto tra i loro autori e i due dialoghi platonici in questione, ponendo in risalto gli argomenti della filosofia platonica che più hanno suscitato l’interesse dei lettori, al fine di comprendere le motivazioni sottese alla più scarsa circolazione (rispetto al Timeo) del Fedone e del Menone latini.

L’article fournit une édition des annotations et des gloses du Ménon et du Phédon traduits du grec en latin par Henri Aristippe entre 1154 et 1160. Après avoir distingué les différents types d’annotations et de gloses, on examinera le rôle de médiation qu’elles ont joué entre leurs auteurs et les deux dialogues platoniciens, en mettant l’accent sur les thèmes de la philosophie platonicienne qui ont le plus attiré l’intérêt des lecteurs, afin de mieux saisir les raisons de la diffusion restreinte (par rapport au Timée) de la traduction latine du Phédon et du Ménon.

The article provides an edition of the annotations and glosses to the Meno and the Phaedo translated from Greek into Latin by Henry Aristippus between 1154 and 1160. Starting from a process of categorization of the various types of annotations and glosses, the document will examine the role of mediation that the same have assumed between their authors and the two concerned platonic dialogues, focusing on the topics of the platonic philosophy that most attracted the interest of readers, in order to understand the reasons behind the lower circulation (compared to the Timeaus) of the Latin Phaedo and Meno.
