Hospital readmission rate for patients discharged from emergency departments to home care services: A retrospective, monocentric study

Data were collected on patients’ electronic medical files.ResultsOf the 144 patients analyzed, 23 (16%) were readmitted to hospital within 30 days. Readmitted patients were younger, (75 vs 84; p -1; p ConclusionThe readmission rate for HCS following an emergency department visit was low, comparable with that of standard hospitalization.
