Digital developments can just as easily be an obstacle to intergenerational cooperation as they can be a pentacle, a precious talisman that brings peace and harmony between generations. The results of this study show that in family businesses, they are mostly seen as an obstacle. According to the respondents, digital developments lead to a less significant transfer of knowledge, both from the oldest generations to the youngest, and from the youngest to the oldest generations. They also appear to be, more generally, a barrier to communication. The causes and implications of these theoretical and empirical findings are analyzed. Finally, recommendations for practitioners are proposed.
