Co-creation as a solution to smoking cessation: The case of online communities

This article aims to explore the co-creation of care solutions in the case of smoking cessation and its impact on patient well-being. The findings from a qualitative study first reveal that patients who smoke tend to replace face-to-face consultations with interactions with online health communities. Then, they indicate that the co-creation process comprises two main components—participatory and citizen, influencing subjective and social well-being.
