The casualization of social work: A digression on the notion of precariousness
Type de matériel :
65
Based on a definition of precariousness that is consistent with the concepts of uncertainty and risk, we develop an essay on the casualization of social work and both its fatal effects and potential for creative mobilization. If we are witnessing a rise in the casualization of social work, we consider the proximity between social professionals and the people they care for. Could there be a new model of social relationships under construction, which may involve not only an identification with others, but also inspire a new form of supportive citizenship?
