Peer-caregivers: Vectors or victims of the casualization of social work?

In a context of social work complexity, the “new jobs”—among which we find peer-caregivers—are often seen as responsible for the casualization of the social work sector. Yet the latter are victims of the same type of difficulties denounced by their detractors. They are thus, at the same time, vectors and victims of a form of casualization that is both functional and related to the identity, social, and financial aspects of social work.
