The social question and the precariat: The history and contextualization of the casualization process

Most Western countries have experienced an almost continuous increase in the aid granted to developing the social and socio-medical sectors. However, this clearly blessed and past time was an interlude in our History. The true message of this discourse reminds us again of the terms “precariousness” and “precariat,” not just for the users of services, but also for the establishments and employees who work in them today. What happened to these growing sectors? Why are they in such a state today? This article offers a brief history.
