Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : In this article we examine the performances of queerness in French rapper Lala &ce’s music videos, and we explore the ways in which esthetic techniques help Lala &ce navigate within rap’s regimes of representation. Our study draws upon Sara Ahmed’s queer phenomenology and José Esteban Muñoz’s theory of disidentification. We analyze four of Lala &ce’s music videos in order to show that tropes of fluidity and linearity orient her performances and enable her to queer the codes of rap from within.
