The democratization of digital technology and digital tools is changing work organization practices and redefining social relations within organizations. The aim of our article is to study the impact of enterprise social networks (ESN) on employee inclusion within organizations. We conducted a multiple case study of four companies through fifty-nine semi-structured interviews and fifty hours of online non-participant observation. Our results highlight the ability of ESNs to strengthen the sense of belonging of employees as well as to promote and enhance authenticity within organizations.
