This research focuses on the evolution of the professions of technicians and managers in medical biology laboratories, which are being impacted by major technological changes. The study, which takes a future-oriented approach to professions, was carried out with the eighteen medical biology laboratories of a HGT (a regional hospital group). It aims, on one hand, to study the present and future impacts of the main internal and external changes on the organization and on the profession of laboratory technician, and, on the other hand, to examine present and future changes in activities, skills, and responsibilities.
