The laughter of derision is part of a socio-emotional dynamic where violence exerts variable effects on the exchanges. The traditional jokes are most often a taquin game with social norms, in particular the relationships of power and seduction between men and women. Derision is also more or less a radical dispute which defines a relationship of victim and attacker. Derision is yet concerned for the convivial conduct of collective identity, which uses if necessary a strategy of stigmatization of the Other (xénophobe jokes, machists...). On the other hand, self derision represents an identifying gait which assumes and uncaps violence.
