Physiotherapists working in collaboration with family doctors in French multidisciplinary primary health-care clinics are now able to provide care to patients with acute lower back pain or ankle sprains as first-contact practitioners in advanced practice roles. This includes the delegation of medical acts, such as making a medical diagnosis and prescribing medication. The aim of this study is to explore physiotherapists and family doctors’ experience and perceptions regarding this new model of care.
