Palliative care mobile teams may provide useful information about the difficulties and suffering of healthcare professionals when they are in charge of a member of their own family. It may be difficult for them to find their place between their family and the healthcare team. Three clinical cases describe these practical problems, and some other cases also illustrate the communication issues which may arise between these professionals and the medical and nursing teams. This work raises several questions in a field that has gained little attention until now.
